Italian narration, and where the meme came from

Italian brainrot took off on TikTok in early 2025, with Tralalero Tralala, a shark in sneakers, among the first characters to spread. The original clips paired AI-generated creature images with an Italian AI voice reciting rhyming nonsense, and some of that audio included Italian swearing and blasphemy, so if younger fans watch your channel, write your own clean lines. Not every character is Italian, either: Tung Tung Tung Sahur comes from Indonesia, named after the drumming that wakes people for the pre-dawn meal in Ramadan.

To narrate in Italian, write the script in Italian (or have the AI writer draft it in Italian) and set the video language to Italian; the captions follow. English narration works too, since the names carry the flavor on their own. The AI writer produced 110 words of café mystery: a Naples barista, a looping waltz that starts syncing with customers' thoughts, a shadow that keeps doing pirouettes, and a cracked phonograph with a warning to “return the cup before you lose the face.” Will narrates in English over about 43 seconds, roughly 2.6 words per second. It cost 10 credits and rendered in 69 seconds.

The character reference does its job. She appears in nearly every scene in the pink tutu with a cappuccino cup for a head, and the soft peach café light ties the scenes together. The cup's face changes from scene to scene, though, and the final shot drops the cup entirely and shows an ordinary human ballerina, which undercuts the ending. Check the last scene first; it is the one viewers remember.

The script also drifts from the meme's usual register. Classic brainrot narration is mock-epic, a straight-faced legend about an absurd creature, while this one is a quiet horror story. That can work as a twist on the format, but for the classic feel, ask for an epic legend and end on a whose-side question.
